Meet Sonya Pendrey

Today, I’m writing and marketing books with love in San Francisco. My words have homes in KQED, Mission Local, Fourteen Hills, Journal X, and Chinquapin Literary Magazine. I’m a former Creative in Residence at The Ruby (‘24-‘25) and 2025 Robin Seaman Award recipient from Bay Area Women in Publishing. I hold an MFA in Writing from University of San Francisco and a BA in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz.
